The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies' Center for Neurotechnology Studies presented an introductory symposium on ethical animal research entitled "Neuroscience and Non-Speciesist Neuroethics: Implications for Animal Welfare and the Responsible Conduct of Research," on February 4, 2011. The program was presented in conjunction with the Capital Consortium for Neuroscience: Ethical, Legal and Social Issues (CCNELSI, www.ccnelsi.com). Speakers included Rep. James P.
