Potomac Institute for Policy Studies Senior Fellow Amb. David Smith, (Ret.), is the Director of the Georgian Security Analysis Center in Tbilisi, Georgia. In a recent issue of the Georgian publication Tabula, he writes about a disturbing rise in cyber attacks against Russian bloggers and journalists who are critical of their government.  Writes Smith, "Many fingers point to some bit of the Russian government, operating through Nashi, the Kremlin's cadre of youthful brownshirts, apparently increasingly indistinguishable from cyber criminal syndicates."
