AlyssaDr. Alyssa Adcock is a Research Fellow in the S&T Division. Alyssa obtained her Ph.D. from Georgetown University in Inorganic Chemistry. Her research focused on developing luminescent bismuth materials to address growing energy, lighting, and security needs as well as understanding uranium chemistry relevant to nuclear waste, environmental management, and separations processes. During her graduate studies, Alyssa was appointed to the Graduate Education Advisory Board of the American Chemical Society and organized several symposia on topics such as science policy and water sustainability. Prior, she received her B.S. in Chemistry from Jacobs University in Germany and completed an internship at the Carnegie Institute of Washington’s Geophysical Laboratory in DC.
