Gennie Minzyk is a Senior Research Fellow at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies. In this role, she serves as a space policy subject matter expert leading programs and research efforts in support of national security space. Gennie retired from United States Air Force in the rank of Colonel completing a distinguished 20-year career as a space operations officer. Her time in service spanned across operations, force development, strategy development, budgeting/programming, international engagement and policy. As the Deputy Director for International Engagement in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Space Policy, she led a cross-functional, multi-organization team focused on developing norms and standards of responsible behavior in space. Prior to joining the Potomac institute, Gennie was a Senior Manager for Strategy Development at Ball Aerospace. Gennie holds a MS in National Resource Management from the Eisenhower School at National Defense University, a MS in Strategic Intelligence from National Intelligence University, a MS in International Relations from Troy University and a BS in Biology from the University of Illinois.
