Dr. Margaret "Peggy" McWeeney

Research Analyst

Dr. Margaret McWeeney is a Research Analyst at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies and International Center for Terrorism Studies. She has provided research and analysis to the Department of Defense, Air Force Acquisitions, NASA, and the Intelligence Community, including novel research into integrated deterrence, irregular warfare/VNSA terrorism, hybrid warfare, and terrorism and emerging technology. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/International Relations from Syracuse University in 2009, a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from Syracuse University, and a doctorate in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2021. Most recently she was granted a Department of State Fulbright Scholarship to study conflict patterns in the southern Philippines and served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Gettysburg College.
