The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies held an Ambassadors' Forum Luncheon on Wednesday, March 24, from noon until 2 pm, entitled "Romania-US Strategic Partnership: Past Experience and Future Outlook." On January 20, the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies’ Center for Environmental Economics and Ethics, under the direction of James Tate, Jr., Ph.D., hosted a day-long workshop entitled “Alternatives to Neoclassical Economics for Business and National Security.”  The program focused on the highly variable concept of “The New Green Economy” by attempting to clarify and expand conventional thinking on the relationships between economy and ecology.  To view a video of the program in its entirety, please click below.  (Please note: The start of the program was delayed by weather.  Please advance cursor 23 minutes along timeline to view opening remarks.)

The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies' Center for Neurotechnology Studies, in conjunction with the Capital Consortium for Neuroscience: Ethical, Legal and Social Issues (CCNELSI, www.ccnelsi.com) presented a lecture on February 19.  Dr. Michael Chorost spoke on the use of cochlear implants and implications for further integration of technology into the human body in his talk "Cyborg Ear, Cyborg Mind."  Click below to watch the program in its entirety.
